Selvedge ORIGIN Award
Sarah Tyssen was selected to receive the Selvedge award at Origin for her fine, traditional weaving. Designed on a 16 shaft dobby loom, and produced in limited batches on power looms in Yorkshire – her fabrics have a subtle colour palette and work equally well for both upholstery and apparel. But don’t worry if you can’t make the show before it closes, Sarah will be at the Hereford Contemporary Craft Fair, 13-15 November and Made '09, Brighton, 20-22 November.

What wonderful news, congratulations to Sarah Tyssen whose work I love and who I have always thought to be a hugely talented designer. She always produces her woven collections using a wonderful, rich colour palette that appeals to both men and women. A well done recipient.
