Win an Inès Bressand basket bag
Inès Bressand’s approach is based on materials and collaborations with craftspeople. With them, she develops new ways of working to create pieces that are a step away from tradition. Her most representative works are her collection of straw baskets made with weavers in Ghana. The N°17 Grande Amphore basket bag is made from Pennisetum Purpureum natural fibre with a vegetable tanned leather strap, hand made in Ghana and France, worth €325. Find out more about Bressand’s collaborations with artisans in Issue 95, which features an interview by Greta Bertram.
Win a Blackshore Coastal Clothing voucher
Blackshore Coastal Clothing was founded in 2017 and draws its inspiration from the aesthetics of the British coastline, taking its name from part of Southwold’s harbour, where coals were unloaded onto muddy banks. Blackshore is a definitively British brand, with a strong focus on local fibres and production, but they are not only focussed on helping to regenerate British manufacturing, they also support coastal charities, use of recyclable packaging, and offer a ‘Lifetime Visible Repair Guarantee’ on their garments. This issue Blackshore are offering a voucher worth £350 to redeem against any of their Handmade in Southwold range, which includes hard-working chore jackets, moleskin shirts, traditional smocks and waxed coats.
Win a Saloon Design House dress
Saloon Design House is a collaboration between dressmaker Dena Pharaoh-Pezzano and designer Jane Magnus. Saloon dresses combine Liberty London Fabrics with other beautiful fabrics from around the world to make generously tailored dresses with pockets and frills, high-waisted skirts, and lately a line of luxurious Liberty shirts. Saloon’s most recent collection draws together an array of global textiles in an unexpected clash of patterns. The Saloon LA Dress is inspired by a classic 70s Laura Ashley dress. Fitted around the bust, it flows to the floor in cascading frills. It has deep pockets, puff sleeves and a pure silk upper lining, and combines luxurious Liberty of London Tana Lawn cotton with Indonesian cotton batiks. We have an LA Dress, worth $620, for a reader to win.
