The Royal Academy Family Album

Following on in a similar vein no doubt to his 'The William Morris Family Album', exhibition (2015) at the William Morris gallery. Yinka Shonibare MBE's 'wrap' around the scaffolding at the Royal Academy, Burlington House merges 60 black and white images of people involved in the renowned institution since it's foundation in 1768, along with Shonibare's signature use of colour, print and texture. The scaffolding across the whole facade of Burlington House is part of the Royal Academy's redevelopment program in the run-up to its 250th anniversary in 2018. Shonibare's design highlights the diverse, inclusive and bold nature of the academy today. www.royalacademy.org.uk
