The Shop Floor Project

In the centre of picturesque Ulverston, you will find The Shop Floor Project. Originally a purely virtual space, it has putdown its roots in the Old Warehouse located in the centre of the town. The building was originally built in 1832 as a warehouse to store goods brought in on the town's famous ship canal, including gunpowder and linen.  Restored from a near derelict state six years ago it is now The Shop Floor Project's new award winning headquarters.
With a beautiful and original selection of art pieces and expertly selected crafts, The Shop Floor project feels like a perfect balance between museum curiosity and retail excitement.
The top floors contain the design studios with the ground and first floor transformed into the new gallery. Unfortunately they are only open for special events however, if you subscribe to the newsletter online you be be informed of all the wonderful events coming up.  They are now stocking Selvedge magazine giving you all the more reason to make the scenic trip.
