Julia Jowett's illustrations, inspired by legends and folklore, instantly captured our attention at
New Designers this year. Watchful eagles and silhouettes of crows lurk at the edges of her framed drawings, guarding the wire sculpted characters that reside there. Whimsical illustrations of Inuit kamik boots and folk costumes are embellished with delicate hand embroidery.
