Tour de France
The much publicised Tour de France got under way in Leeds today and cyclists are currently making their way through the tranquil Yorkshire Dales. They will then cycle to Sheffield, Cambridge and finally London covering 546 miles in the UK. It all sounds pretty exhausting – we’d much rather take part by wearing John Smedley’s rather lovely stripy cycling sweater designed to celebrate the race.
John Smedley has been producing fine gauge knitwear for centuries and recently celebrated their 225th anniversary. They are renowned for their simple yet sophisticated looks fashioned from pure New Zealand wool and crisp Sea Island cotton. You could wear them to cycle but it would be a shame to get such attractive clothes all sweaty…
