Yvonne and Rebecca Drury of Miss Print
MissPrint's products are designed in a small East London studio by mother and daughter Yvonne and Rebecca Drury. Their fabrics are silk-screen printed by hand and pay visible tribute to the 50s.
They tell us 'the business developed organically after printing patterns and illustrations onto silk and making lampshades. This was often done on the dining room table! We found that people loved the products so we added cushions, wallpaper and fabrics shortly after.
We strongly believe that visual design has a huge part to play in our everyday well-being, particularly when used within the home. Every MissPrint pattern is hand-illustrated by Rebecca; the non-perfect lines and non-uniformity are things we love. We like to remain honest to our roots and design using basic processes.
All aspects of the production process are carefully monitored to ensure a high quality standard. We carefully select and factory-proof all of our colours to ensure they are exactly how we like them.
Our wallpapers are printed with organic pigment inks, which are non-toxic, free of heavy metals and classed as non-carcinogenic. We try our utmost to support our local community and strongly believe in supporting the British manufacturing industry, therefore our wallpapers, cushions, fabric, lampshades are produced in Great Britain.'
