Belgium, Hasselt, Hasselt’s Fashion Museum
The Modemuseum Hasselt (Hasselt Fashion Museum) explores the history and cultural impact of Western dress and fashion from around 1750 to the present. Housed in a charming 17th‑century building in the heart of Hasselt, the museum does not display a permanent collection but presents two dynamic thematic exhibitions each year drawn from its extensive holdings of approximately 18,000 garments and accessories, as well as loans from international collections. Exhibitions explore technique, design and cultural context, bringing together historic pieces and iconic works by major designers to tell compelling stories of style, society and identity.
