Woven in Bhutan using the traditional Hor weaving style, this throw is created with a supplementary warp technique that introduces subtle pattern and texture across the surface. The Dorji (Vajra) motif appears sparingly within the design, bringing a quiet symbolic element rooted in Bhutanese textile traditions.
Woven in two separate panels and hand-stitched together, the throw follows a longstanding practice shaped by the width limitations of the backstrap loom. Predominantly dyed with madder and accented with bright marigold yellow, this version offers a vibrant interpretation of the classic Hor pattern. Hand-twisted fringes complete the piece, highlighting the care and skill involved in every stage of its making.
Each throw is made entirely by hand. Variations in weave, colour and finish are an inherent part of the process and reflect the individuality of the artisan, making every piece unique.
