DYED POPCORN BLANKET
Our products' design reflects our way of life, with the rustic environment of life in the hinterland. All of our weaving pieces are produced using artisanal weaving techniques and traditional knowledge by the weavers in the manual pedal loom. After receiving the raw material, carding is carried out. Then, the material is distributed among the spinners, and the threads are made using the spinning wheel, which are classified into thin, medium, or thick. The next phase of production is dyeing using our natural pigmentations. With the threads ready, we started the manual weaving process on our four-pedal wooden looms. It requires a high degree of concentration. On the loom, rst, the warp is prepared, a kind of wooden canvas with combs. The weaver then follows guidelines for certain types of drawings and patterns you want to weave. Finally, she throws the shuttle, a cylinder that walks the loom from side to side, passing the thread, one over there, one to here, forming the plot, with different patterns and textures.
