Claire Turner - Alpaca Apparel
Founded by Claire Turner in 2021, Alpaca Apparel is a celebration of slow fashion, sustainability, and the natural beauty of British alpaca fleece. From a small holding in the New Forest, what began as a modest alpaca herd has grown into a thriving fibre-led business rooted in respect for nature and the art of traditional making.
Each piece of knitwear is crafted using 100% UK alpaca fleece, sourced from Claire’s own herd and a select few partner farms. The yarns remain undyed, offering not only a reduced environmental impact but also a palette of beautifully subtle, naturally occurring colours. No more than 20 of each design is ever made, ensuring every garment is both limited edition and wholly unique.
Combining understated luxury with conscious craftsmanship, Alpaca Apparel’s designs are soft, durable, and deeply rooted in ethical values. No two colourways are repeated, meaning each piece reflects the individuality of the animals themselves.
