Emma Reichenbach - Coded Cloth
Founded by Emma Reichenbach, Coded Cloth is a celebration of textile heritage reimagined through a contemporary lens. Since 2020, Emma has been crafting garments that bridge past and present, inspired by traditional costume, antique textiles, and the timeless art of embroidery and patchwork.
Drawing from a rich archive of vintage materials, from 1920s lace to 1960s brocade, each one-of-a-kind piece is designed and made in England with meticulous care. Emma sources rare, often handmade fabrics for their beauty, quality and story. Textiles that carry the imprint of human hands and history are skillfully collaged into garments with relaxed, versatile silhouettes, offering both wearability and reverence for detail.
Emma’s influences range from French workwear to the ceremonial dress of Eastern Europe, blending utilitarian structure with folkloric beauty. Each garment is a tapestry of memory and intention. Unisex, seasonless, and made to endure.
At the heart of Coded Cloth is a belief in the value of craftsmanship and the quiet power of storytelling through fabric. These are clothes that honour the past, speak to the present, and invite the wearer to continue the narrative — heirlooms in the making.
