This ensemble consists of two garments: A deep V-neck, half sleeves, gathered jacket dress with single button opening in front and a band collar on the neckline, paired with a sleeveless, scoop-neck silk paneled dress.

The striped bodice of the jacket is made in crushed home spun cotton fabric, and the flowing skirt is made of a hand woven silk and cotton in a deep luminous indigo, in which little jamdani brocade dots seem to shimmer like stars in the early night sky.⁣⁣
Maku’s designs are contextual to community, practices and individual skill sets. The fabric is handwoven in the villages of West Bengal (India) by traditional brocade weavers. It is a contemporary adaptation of the age-old craft of jamdani weaving.
This product is hand dyed in natural indigo.

This product is handwoven and hand-dyed. Any irregularities only add to the beauty of the textile.
