Textile Mountain is a place where textiles are given a second chance and where creativity meets sustainability. We are a shop in Prague built on the principles of the circular economy, rescuing quality fabrics from production surplus, customer buy-backs, and donations, and bringing them back into circulation. We believe that any material already produced is always a more responsible choice than creating something new—and every meter of fabric that finds a new purpose is a small victory for the planet.
Our selection includes a diverse range of textiles for sewing, design, and professional making—from historical treasures and retro fabrics to contemporary high-quality materials. Every piece carries its own story and awaits a new beginning in the hands of creators who share our passion for responsible textile use.
Textile Mountain is led by Lenka Baarová, designer and UMPRUM graduate, awarded the Czech Grand Design – Fashion Designer of the Year 2017 for her work dedicated to textile waste. Experience from Denmark, the Henrik Vibskov studio, fashion shows, and a textile recycling factory enables her to guide customers not only in choosing materials but also in understanding how to use them effectively.
