The Egyptian Textile Museum celebrates more than three millennia of Egypt’s textile heritage, showcasing rare fabrics, garments and textile tools from ancient Pharaonic times through the Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods. Housed in a restored early‑19th‑century building on Al‑Muizz Street in the historic heart of Cairo, the museum’s collection reflects Egypt’s legacy as a centre of fibre arts and cloth production — from linen wrappings and embroidered tunics to ceremonial textiles and historic carpet fragments — offering a rich narrative of technique, culture and dress across eras.
