About the Author
Gillian Vogelsang-Eastwood serves as Director of the Textile Research Centre in Leiden and is widely respected for her scholarship in embroidery and textile history. Willem Vogelsang brings complementary expertise through his long academic career at the International Institute for Asian Studies in Leiden, engaging with textile culture from a global discipline. Their collaboration here fuses rigorous scholarly research with material insight and craft sensibility.
