Travel articles in Selvedge reflect the diversity of textile culture around the world. The magazine welcomes challenging, informed and well written article proposals that explore textiles through place, community and society. General themes should be avoided. Profile pieces on individuals, groups and companies are acceptable but must be written independently. Selvedge is not an academic journal nor is it a glossy lifestyle magazine and all articles should be insightful, written in a conversational tone. The maximum word count for any article is 2,500.
