Fletcher’s Almanac unfolds over four seasons, inviting readers on a sensorial pilgrimage through the landscapes, rituals and materials that shape our wardrobes. In 12 lyrical vignettes—one for each month—Kate Fletcher repositions nature from backdrop to protagonist, contemplating the dialogue between climate, flora, fauna and fashion systems. With elegant prose and evocative predictions, she turns clothing into a seasonal compass: pointing to slow patterns of weather, craft and care, and beckoning us to rethink how we dress our live.
Compact and beautifully illustrated by Danai Tsouloufa, this pocket‑sized almanac doubles as a guide and talisman, perfect for field walks and quiet reflection alike. More than an aide‑mémoire, it is a manifesto: arguing that fashion must learn the cycles and intelligence of the earth if it is to flourish beyond capitalism’s disposable edicts. It reminds us that materials speak—not only through their textures and colours, but through the seasons, systems and stories they carry.
