The Cité internationale de la tapisserie celebrates the art and heritage of Aubusson tapestry — a weaving tradition practised for nearly six centuries and recognised on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The museum presents an immersive journey through historic and contemporary tapestries, graphic works, furniture and weaving tools, while exhibitions and programmes illuminate technical mastery, cultural narratives and the living craft of woven art in the Limousin region.
