France, Husseren-Wesserling, Wesserling Textile Museum
The Parc de Wesserling – Écomusée Textile celebrates over two and a half centuries of textile production in the Alsace region. Nestled in a former royal textile-printing manufacture, the museum vividly recounts the evolution of the site—from 18th century “indiennage” printed cottons to 19th and 20th century industry—presented through both the building’s original fabric and interpretive displays of weaving, dyeing, board-printing and industrial life.
The experience is enriched by its location: on a 42-hectare site of gardens labelled “Jardin Remarquable” and preserved industrial architecture, the museum sits at the intersection of material culture, design history and industrial heritage.
