The Agbozume Kente Weavers & Tourism Town celebrates the rich heritage of Ewe-woven kente (kéte) cloth in Ghana’s Volta Region, showcasing how the weaving of narrow strips of cotton and silk into bold, symbolic textiles remains a living craft, community enterprise and cultural marker.
Visitors are able to observe looms in action, engage with weavers, and explore the historic marketplace where this fabric has been traded for generations. The weaving tradition here is deeply intertwined with social identity, ritual and craft continuity among the Somey people of the area.
