How to make a sprouting bulb
The inclement weather has kept us indoors this spring but don’t despair; the talented Mister Finch has prepared a simple project that will satisfy frustrated gardeners and keep hopes of warmer weather alive.
Materials & tools you will need
- The bulb can be made from a range of fabrics but I prefer to use a cotton as it’s strong, can be stuffed nice and tightly and can be aged.
- Kapock is good for stuffing.
- A small piece of green velvet would be perfect for the stalk or even some felt.
- Parcel string works well for roots or you could use garden twine.
