This collared straight fit tunic/dress showcases a panel placement of jamdani and striped gicha fabrics. Both these fabrics are woven using fine hand spun cotton, making them soft and translucent. The jamdani used here is part of the Khaddar Kona fabric collection. Kona - as in angled – is inspired by the inlay work of medieval India. Gicha (hand-spun silk) and hand-twisted cotton yarn have been used to weave the diamond motifs. This dress/tunic has a distinctive patchwork placket made from upcycled fabric remnants. Inseam pockets and interesting button detailing further exemplify the garment.
Sustainability is at the heart of Karomi. Authentic design driven jamdani and attention to detail in tailoring are characteristic of Karomi clothing.
