Founded in Srinagar, in the heart of the Kashmir Valley, Kashmir Loom brings together the creative vision of Jenny Housego and Asaf Ali with the expertise of generations of Kashmiri master artisans. Guided by a deep respect for the region's textile heritage, the studio reimagines the celebrated shawls of Kashmir for a contemporary audience, preserving centuries-old craftsmanship while allowing it to evolve with quiet confidence.

Working with the finest Pashmina, often known as "soft gold", Kashmir Loom creates heirloom textiles using some of the valley's most refined techniques. Intricate Kani weaving, executed with small wooden bobbins rather than a shuttle, builds richly patterned cloth thread by thread, while delicate Sozni embroidery adorns shawls with graceful floral motifs so finely stitched they appear woven into the fabric itself. Each piece may take months, or even years, to complete.
