Chacha, the affectionate uncle, bridges the space between family and friendship. Younger than Papa, yet full of wisdom, he is the one you turn to for advice, encouragement, or a good laugh. With his easy warmth and quiet confidence, Chacha reminds us that friendship often begins at home.
Dressed in a traditional kurta, pyjama, and jacket, his neatly twirled moustache lends him an air of playful seriousness. Each doll is handcrafted by Afghan women refugees using carefully collected offcuts of cotton fabric. What begins as waste material is transformed through skill and care into a figure that celebrates affection, resilience, and creativity.
Chacha represents guidance, humour, and loyalty — a reminder that love and trust are built through small gestures. His making also contributes to sustaining livelihoods and independence for the artisans who bring him to life.
