Shawl – handwoven inKutchhi wool – 38” x 86” – Design inspired by traditional weaving pattern done for Rabari women skirts in new colours.
Lac and acacia used for dyeing warp and weft yarns. Borderswhite undyed wool. Tassels are also in Kutchhi wool. Woven by fellow weaver over a period of 1.5 months. The cheek colours are lighter on the border sides and darker in middle to give it a graded effect.
