India, We are KAL, Eri Silk Wall Hanging "Bridges"

The Bridges wall hanging is a patchwork piece made from fabric remnants from We are KAL’s Eri silk garment collection. Carefully selected scraps are arranged and stitched together, giving new life to otherwise discarded material while creating a soft, tactile textile for the home. The fabric is woven and dyed by the makers’ team in Assam, while the wall hanging is assembled at the studio in Ladakh.

Made from hand-spun, naturally dyed and hand-woven Eri silk, the piece uses a durable form of peace silk produced without killing the moth. The reverse is lined with Kala cotton, an indigenous organic cotton textile from Gujarat. Loops on the back allow the wall hanging to be easily mounted.
