India, We are KAL, Eri Silk Wall Hanging "Sunpath"

The Sunpath wall hanging is a patchwork piece made from fabric remnants from We are KAL’s Eri silk garment collection. Carefully selected scraps are arranged and stitched together, giving new life to otherwise discarded material while creating a soft, tactile textile for the home. The piece is assembled at the studio in Ladakh, using fabrics woven and dyed by the makers’ team in Assam.

The wall hanging is made from hand-spun, naturally dyed and hand-woven Eri silk, a durable form of peace silk produced without killing the moth. The reverse is lined with Kala cotton, an indigenous organic cotton textile from Gujarat. Loops on the back allow the piece to be easily mounted on the wall.
