India, We are KAL, Pillow Case Eri Silk "Quilt"

The Eri Silk "Quilt" Pillow Case is a patchwork cover made from fabric remnants from We are KAL’s Eri silk garment collection. Carefully selected scraps are assembled and stitched together, giving new purpose to leftover materials while preserving the character of this precious textile. Made by weavers and dyers in Assam and assembled at the studio in Ladakh, the pillow case features an envelope closure and is fully finished with Kala cotton on the inside.

The outer fabric is hand-spun, naturally dyed and hand-woven Eri silk, a strong and durable form of peace silk produced without killing the moth. The interior uses Kala cotton, an indigenous organic cotton textile from the Kutch district of Gujarat.
