Kat Bazeley - BlueBarn.Life
Kat Bazeley works under the name BlueBarn.Life, creating unique, handmade clothing for men and women from School House Farm in Dorset. Craftsmanship, sustainability and flair sit at the heart of the work, with most designs rooted in traditional workwear and clothes of the past, updated and adapted for today.
Natural fibres are central to the collection — linen, silk, cotton and wool — often drawn from vintage or antique textiles sourced from around the world. Alongside a collection of ready-made garments, Kat also offers a bespoke service, helping customers create their own pieces from a wide-ranging assortment of fabrics.
The farm sits in west Dorset, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about ten miles north of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast, and within easy reach of Bridport. Cattle, sheep and horses are kept on the farm and managed using conservation methods that encourage wildflowers, birds and wildlife, with good walking country nearby, including Pilsdon Pen and Lewesdon Hill.
