Carole Barran - Lacuna Child
The inspiration for Carole Barran's business came after the birth of her first grandchild. Living in the U.S. with Carole based in the UK, she wanted to create a meaningful connection with her, which led her to establish a baby brand. From the start, Carole was committed to ensuring the clothes were British-made, with timeless, stylish designs that were as unisex as possible. Every piece is thoughtfully crafted with high-quality fabrics, carefully selected colors, and a strong focus on sustainability. In addition to children's wear, Carole has also introduced a small ladieswear collection, featuring a reversible dress made from comfortable, eco-friendly materials.
Looking ahead to 2025, Carole's collection will embrace more neutral tones and a greater synergy between children's and ladies' fashion, making it easier for parents and children—whether boys or girls—to coordinate outfits. These seasonless pieces are designed for versatility, allowing for effortless layering to suit different temperatures. The collection will include cotton dresses with delicate lace edging, beautifully embroidered pockets, soft cotton jeans, and playful playsuits for children, complemented by matching tops and ultra-soft cotton/bamboo toweling baseball jackets.
Her passion for this brand remains as strong as the day she launched it, and with every passing year, Carole's knowledge of fabrics and production techniques continues to grow. This ongoing learning process fuels the evolution of her business, driving its growth and development.
