Growing from a long nutured and cherished relationship with land and nature Lisa explores the ancient language of basketry,producing functional and decorative vessels that bring the essence of humankind relationships with plant,purpose, texture and culture.
Working predominantly with willow she adds specifically sourced materials from the coppice where she lives,Hornbeam, Hazel, Birch.
Her approach is intuitive and combines craft practice with her own artistic aesthetic.
