James Jenkins - Mabel & Co
Mabel & Co is a designer-maker studio rooted in sustainability and traditional craft. Working from an old wheelwright's workshop on the Sudbourne Park Estate, tucked along the Suffolk coast, the studio is a quiet celebration of material, method and place.
Founded with a deep respect for process, Mabel & Co spans a range of disciplines including letterpress printing, weaving, film photography and pottery. Much of the work is created using restored historic equipment, allowing for a tactile, slower approach that honours the origins of each craft. Every detail, from inked type to woven thread, reflects a commitment to quality, simplicity and time-honoured technique.
Their weaving practice centres on creating beautiful, undyed textiles using only the natural shades of fleece.
