Norway, Bergen, The Textile Industry Museum
Tekstilindustrimuseet (Textile Industry Museum) celebrates Norway’s knitwear and textile‑industry heritage from the 19th and 20th centuries. Housed in the former Salhus Tricotagefabrik — a nationally protected textile mill founded in 1859 — the museum invites visitors to explore the full process of wool production, carding, spinning, knitting and garment making, bringing industrial history and craftsmanship to life with guided tours, machine demonstrations and exhibitions on textile culture, work and community.
