Jackie Parsons - Scobel Clothing
Founded by Jackie Parsons, Scobel Clothing offers a quietly poetic collection of garments designed for the romantic of heart and the practical of mind. Named after her great grandmother, who once ran a drapers shop in South Devon, Scobel is rooted in a personal lineage of making and mending, with clothing designed to serve a thoughtful, active life.
Jackie began by making clothes for her dolls, herself, and later for theatre and television. Over time, her designs evolved into timeless pieces that reflect a pared-back aesthetic with subtle historical references. Each garment is made in her London studio using traditional techniques such as French seams and bias finishes, with careful attention paid to drape, comfort, and longevity.
Working with surplus fabrics from the trade and materials sourced from sustainable mills, Jackie creates clothing that is both considered and enduring. These are garments made to be worn, washed, repaired, and loved. With their understated silhouettes and practical beauty, they are designed to transcend trends and grow more meaningful with time.
At the heart of Scobel Clothing is a belief in simplicity, utility, and the quiet romance of well-made clothes that carry stories in their stitches.
