The Centre de Documentació i Museu Tèxtil (Museu Tèxtil) celebrates the rich legacy of textile production, design and culture in Catalonia and beyond. Founded in 1946 around a significant private collection of historic textiles, the museum combines research, conservation, documentation and public engagement, showcasing fabrics, garments, samples and accessories across eras and regions. In addition to its galleries, it houses specialised resources — including a large documentation archive (IMATEX) and a textile‑focused library — and offers exhibitions, workshops and educational programmes that invite visitors to explore both traditional techniques and contemporary textile discourse.
