Susan Jensen - Suze Studio
Suze Studio is a Bristol-based framed textile brand founded by Suzy, whose passion for textiles and meaningful, storied objects sprouted from years of travelling and living abroad. During travels to Morocco and South America, she found herself immersed in worlds of vibrant fabrics and time-honoured techniques, and developed a deep appreciation for global textile traditions. This curiosity later evolved into a clear purpose during her travels along the Silk Road, particularly in Uzbekistan, where she discovered the rich cultural heritage of suzani embroidery.
Moved by both the beauty of these textiles and the risk of their traditions fading, Suzy established Suze Studio to preserve and celebrate this artistry. She sources both vintage and newly made textiles directly from artisans, ensuring fair pay while supporting the continuation of these skills.
Each piece is entirely unique: hand-embroidered, thoughtfully selected, and professionally framed in Bristol using bespoke wooden frames. The studio transforms these textiles into striking works of art designed for modern interiors.
Rooted in sustainability and cultural respect, Suze Studio also donates a portion of profits to women’s charities in Central Asia, helping empower the communities behind the craft and ensuring these traditions endure for generations.
