The museum celebrates one of Sweden’s oldest silk-weaving factories, tracing the industrial and craft heritage of silk production from the factory’s establishment in 1833 up to the present day. Visitors can explore the historic weaving mill itself, discover the role of the female workforce, examine silk shawls and jacquard woven textiles, and view contemporary exhibitions that engage with the material, technique and social dimensions of textile craft.
