Farmer Ranger is a brand that focuses on upcycling waste or scrap materials, such as second hand clothes. In the textile industry, there are many processes that damage the environment severely; Farmer Ranger saw the creation of sustainable textiles as the logical solution to this endemic problem. The two founders, Jamorn and Kung, hope that people will come to share their vision that old clothes or waste materials that have been discarded can be remade into something new, beautiful, and attractive.
The unique texture and design of their textiles serves as their inspiration. Their hand embroidered stitching technique gives the impression that the fabric was used until it disintegrated:: a technique inspired by the ‘Boro’ repair of ancient Japanese fabric. Farmer Ranger work with villagers throughout Thailand, from Tambon Sop Poeng to Mae Taeng District and Chiang Mai Province. The two founders, Jamorn and Kung, established a brand entitled UYU AYA before co-founding Farmer Ranger in 2018.
