Threads Around the World is a vibrant peek into textile traditions from 25 different cultures, each chapter stitched together with vivid photography and rich storytelling. From flatwoven rugs and mittens to voodoo flags and mirror embroidery, the book invites readers on a journey through technique, history and place, showing how fibre practices continue to sustain heritage, identity and artisan livelihoods.
Rather than being purely academic, the volume balances well-researched description with personal narrative—stories of makers, of hands at work, and cloth in daily life. It’s an inspiring compendium for textile lovers, heritage craft advocates, and makers looking for fresh sources of technique, colour and global connection.
