The LSU Textile & Costume Museum preserves a vital part of textile and fashion history with a focus on American dress, women designers, Louisiana-and-Louisiana State University (LSU) histories. The collection spans prehistoric and ethnic textiles, couture fashion and high-tech textiles, supporting research, conservation and public engagement. Through rotating exhibitions and educational programming the museum connects students, scholars and the public to the cultural, technical and aesthetic dimensions of textile and apparel material culture.
