United States, Wisconsin , The Nancy M. Bruce Center for Design and Material Culture
The Nancy M. Bruce Center for Design and Material Culture at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is a hub for interdisciplinary study, exhibition and research in textiles, material culture and design. It houses the renowned Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection—one of the world’s largest university‑held textile collections—and presents rotating exhibitions in its Lynn Mecklenburg Textile Gallery and Ruth Davis Design Gallery that illuminate the cultural, artistic and technical dimensions of cloth and design. Through public programmes, workshops and scholarship, the centre connects students, scholars and visitors with material culture from around the globe, past and present.
