About Fog Linen and MiiThaaii:
MiiThaaii is Fog Linen Work’s clothing and accessories line, launched in 2017 with a focus on India’s checked cotton lungi cloth. Rooted in everyday dress, these early pieces drew their character from the lightness, breathability and ease of garments worn across the subcontinent. Those origins remain present, even as the collection continues to evolve.
For Autumn/Winter 2025, MiiThaaii turns to a restrained, timeless palette, paired with careful tailoring that prioritises movement and comfort. The result feels deliberate rather than decorative: clothes shaped for daily wear, attentive to proportion, texture and climate. Each piece is produced by skilled artisans in Jaipur, where cutting and making remain closely connected to material knowledge and hand-led processes.
Fog Linen Work, founded in Japan by Yumiko Sekine in the late 1990s, is best known for its linen housewares and clothing, alongside a growing range of objects in wood, brass and metal. Linen sits at the centre of the brand’s identity. All Fog linen is made in Lithuania, where flax is grown, woven and finished, maintaining a close relationship between land, fibre and craft.
Shop Fog Linen brings together the most extensive collection of Fog Linen Work pieces available outside Japan, including designs created exclusively for the site. Run by a small, independent team working closely with Fog, the store reflects a shared belief in thoughtful production, longevity and living well with materials that improve through use.
