STEP INTO COLOUR

Simone Post has been having fun in Rotterdam. During October, she contributed her work ‘Step Back into Colour’ to the city’s Tour de loer, for Stichting Jarige Job.

Stichting Jarige Job treats children from families who are not well-off to an unforgettable birthday. Instead of providing money, they provide a birthday box full of decorations, treats for the class and teachers, some goodies for the visitors and, of course, a nice gift. So, while enjoying the installations, visitors to Tour de loer were also directly helping less fortunate children.

The Tour De Loer took visitors on a playful route through ten different locations in Rotterdam, each free of charge and within walking distance of each other, where they were invited to play and have fun with pop-up installations from the likes of Maarten Bel, Kevin Osepa and Rutger de Vries. Every location is free of entrance and on walking distance of each other in the city centre of Rotterdam.

Although the Tour De Loer is now closed, Post’s installation can be visited by appointment, until the beginning of January 2023.
