With only 100 days to go until the Olympic Games begin in Rio, team GB's sports kit - designed by Stella McCartney – has been officially revealed.
"In a project that has been in development for two years, McCartney has designed 590 different items of clothing, all created to maximise the athletes' efficiency in their various disciplines." (Luke Leitch, Daily Telegraph). The collection caters for 46 different sports and 900 British Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
There's hardly an event so laced with celebration as the Olympic Games and even the kit's unveiling has had its own aura of ceremony. Modelling the Union-Jacked collection were the athletes themselves, with triple-jumper Phillips Idowu and heptathlete Jessica Ennis starring in the show.
