Beki Bright: Hand Printed Wallpapers and Textiles
Beki Bright launches a new collection of hand printed wallpaper to match her popular Staffordshire fabrics. Screen-printed in London by hand, each wallpaper is now available in the same colours as the fabrics: Forest Green & Field Blue, Deep Navy & Rust, Pink & Straw Yellow, Rust & Stafford Pink.
Beki’s Staffordshire design was inspired by Beki’s love of Staffordshire ceramics and an imaginary wild woodland scene in which some of the Staffordshire deer can leap and enjoy freedom accompanied by other woodland animals. There is a dreamlike quality to this charming design, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the delightful word of texture, colour and pattern.
Joining us at this year's Selvedge Winter Fair on 30 November 2024 at St Mary's, Marylebone, Beki will be selling her hand-printed collections.
About Beki Bright
Beki Bright is a London-based textile designer, screen printer, and dyer, who creates artist-designed textiles for the home. Her collection includes cushions, lampshades, wallpaper, and fabric by the meter, all hand-screen printed and made in London.
Beki’s work is inspired by the English countryside, drawing from her rural upbringing in Suffolk and time spent living in Somerset. Her designs reflect a deep connection to the landscapes, English folklore, county crafts, and countryside rituals that have shaped her experiences.
Her textiles aim to create lasting connections with customers through evocative designs. Beki's distinctive illustrations of sweeping landscapes, rolling hills, corn dollies, and harvest celebrations, paired with vibrant colour schemes, bring the "spirit of place" into everyday life.
