Discover Oto-to-ito at this year's Selvedge Winter Fair! Oto-to-ito is a unique series of embroidery threads inspired by the rich, expressive world of Japanese onomatopoeia. Named after sounds like Mofumofu (fluffy), Fukafuka (soft), and Kirakira (sparkling), these threads capture the essence of their names through beautiful textures.
Our embroidery kits offer a tactile experience, inviting both beginners and experienced stitchers to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Each kit features your choice of Kirakira, Mofumofu, or Fukafuka threads, with original fabric designs by embroidery artist Atsumi, along with detailed instructions and all the tools you'll need.
For those who prefer not to embroider, the threads are also available separately, perfect for wrapping, darning, or other creative uses. To make the most of these high-quality threads, crafted with advanced Japanese techniques, we've also developed a specially designed threader and needle. With Oto-to-ito, we aim to inspire endless possibilities for creative exploration and the joy of crafting with beautiful, tactile materials.
