The current textiles installation from the permanent collection at The Cleveland Museum of Art represents several different civilizations that flourished in the ancient Andes, known today as Peru and parts of adjacent countries. Though unrelated by cultural affiliation, the selection of textiles is unified by each being special in some way— whether through rarity, complexity of execution, or luxury of materials...
