
From Sea Holly to Salt Marsh: St. Jude's x Angie Lewin
"Saltmarsh, Morston (above) is based on sketches made on the North Norfolk coastline on a sunny, breezy day, sitting on the saltmarsh amongst the sea campion and thrift, looking through the grass and flower stems. Across The Pit, a narrow stretch of water, I can see Blakeney Point. Strong yellow discs of cat’s ear flowers (also known as flatweed) stand out against the pale chalky colours of the other vegetation and the bright blue early summer sky." - Angie Lewin.

This year, St. Jude’s is celebrating two decades of bringing beautifully printed fabrics, wallpapers, and limited-edition artworks into our homes. Founded in 2005 by Angie Lewin and her husband Simon, St. Jude’s has grown from a modest idea into a much-loved design house. Today, it’s renowned for collaborations with some of Britain’s most exciting artists, including Mark Hearld, Emily Sutton, and Ed Kluz.
Pattern featured on Wild Flower Tea-towel. Designed as part of Angie's 2024 exhibition at the Watts Gallery in Surrey and inspired by the Watts Chapel.
It all started with a simple suggestion: a collector remarked that Angie’s prints might work well on textiles. That spark of inspiration led to the first two designs, and the rest, as they say, is history. The resulting patterns are a celebration of the natural world, echoing Angie’s love of wild landscapes and overlooked plants. Whether in her intricate wood engravings or her softly stylised fabrics and wallpapers, her work invites us to see beauty in seed-heads, sea holly, and salt marshes...
