Dover Street Market's latest window display Clothes of the Land: Timeless Fashion, created by Egg, features the collection of costume designer and textile expert Bryony Thomasson, who began her career with a stall on Portobello Road. The display of homespun peasant clothing from 18th and 19th century France is part of Bryony's extensive collection which she gathered from her travels and adventures. The Textile Society's annual Antique Textile Fair in Manchester is an event not to be missed. Held at the Armitage Centre, 6 March 2011, 10am-4.30pm, you'll find an array of beautiful textiles, from ethnic fabrics and haberdashery to costume dealers and vintage clothing.
